As a voice teacher, Mary works hard to help her students achieve their full potential as singers. She believes that developing a solid technical foundation is essential for achieving vocal mastery and uses various strategies and approaches to help her students develop proper vocal techniques. Mary works closely with her students to help them understand the mechanics of their voices, develop healthy singing habits, and prevent injury. In addition to technical instruction, Mary emphasizes the importance of artistry, expression, and stage presence; she believes that singing is a deeply personal and expressive art form and works to help her students find their own voices as performers.
Many of Mary's students have gone on to successful careers in music and theatre, and she takes great pride in their accomplishments. However, she is equally dedicated to helping beginners and hobbyists discover the joy of singing and developing their skills in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
When she's not teaching, Mary enjoys performing as a soloist and with various vocal ensembles. She is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the National Federation of Music Clubs and regularly attends conferences and workshops to stay up-to-date on the latest vocal techniques and pedagogy.
